Dark Angel spreads her wings
Dusk has come, night has fallen
The earth is open, set me free
Darkness surrounds me
Fills me as I breathe
Lay me down, it's so familiar
Taken down, covered, released
Dark Angel rises, and spreads her wings
Death becomes her, flawless now
The child approaches, naïve and pure
Graceful and perfect, she takes the young girl's hand
She feels the embrace, like so long ago

Staring at the shadow face
deep in the garden of death
The light seems unfamiliar
as the figure holds my breath
No one understood what we saw
In the silence of three in the morning
We shook with anticipation
In awe, comforted, welcomed
For we knew the secret was ours
Arms at his sides, palms facing us
'Come in, the gate is open'
- The Power of Three -
This came to me in October '99 (I was born October 8) with a girl named Megan in Portland, OR at 3:00 am. We were in the car and something made me stop the car by this beautiful old grave yard. Megan and I both saw a white whispy spirit, about 3 feet off the ground. I didn't tell my son about it till the next morning, and when I described how he was dressed, Ozz stood up from the booth we were sitting at and said, "he held his hands out like this", and perfectly showed how we had seen this spirit standing. He had not been with us. He just... 'saw' it. It was just before Megan and I had the experience at the graveyard, that I had this line running through my mind over and over, so Megan said to write it down. She did, and as soon as she did, the next line came to me. I don't write poetry or anything, so I can only say that this came to me, I didn't write it. Most of the last paragraph was written by Ozz, which again sounded like he had been there. Right after the first part of this poem was written, Megan and I were immediately starving, so we drove to get food, and it was on the way back that we saw the spirit. One month later, we moved into the apartments right next to this same graveyard.

Oregon was a very magical time and place for us.

Excellent work, perfect rhyme, I can actually place myself there and feel it and see it.
I love it allot.
Must have been a bit scary at first to see it. But I'm glad you did.
